Wildkat is the mascot for Wildcat inspections

About WildKat

Let’s talk for a minute about WildKat. WildKat is the Trademark and Mascot for Wildcat Inspections. He was “born” to the founders of Wildcat Inspections, BW and Jo Ann Robbins in 1998. They planned on inspecting new and used homes in Houston, and surrounding areas and wanted a representative that would exemplify their ideas about the then-fledgling company.

Having learned that most of the referrals that home inspectors received come from realtors, this made little sense. That’s because his owners had spent most of their lives building and remodeling houses. They knew that a home is one of the largest investments that a person will make during their lifetime. How could the client receive the best possible representation when the inspector relied on the Agent for his or her livelihood? Afterall, the agent benefitted greatly from the sale. If the agent didn’t like the results of the inspection the fault could be placed on the inspectors.

A New Wildkat Approach

So, they decided to try a new About WildKat approach. They would provide a high-quality inspection that represented a true and accurate depiction of the home for the client. Unfortunately for a few of the Agents their clients decided not to buy a particular house. Apparently, they didn’t have such a “rosy” report. While bad fortune for the Agent that decision was more than likely good fortune for the client. Did that mean they didn’t buy a house? No, simply that the Agent had to show them a few more prospects. After that they found a home that was suitable for their budget, desires and most importantly, their ability to maintain it.

Most of the Agents were OK with that. They were happy to provide the service that the customer was paying them for. But I don’t have to tell you that this wildcatter’s approach to home inspection didn’t set too well with everyone. Some of the Agents around the Houston area, specifically those in business for the money only didn’t refer us again. We were even warned that “A ticked-off Agent could put an inspector out of business within 6 months”. That didn’t deter my founders and I’m happy to say I’m still around and my image has been seen in thousands of TREC inspection reports and documents since 1998. It’s all about WildKat!

In For The Long Haul

When you ask about WildKat I can tell you this, as it turns out we were in it for the long haul. The Professional Home Inspectors at Wildcat Inspections have been conducting Quality Home Inspections in Houston, Kingwood, Conroe and surrounding areas since 1998. As a family-owned business, we know the importance of maintaining a top-notch work ethic. Everyone at Wildcat Inspections strives to exceed the expectations of their customers. It’s the same about Wildkat. That’s why we offer inspections on many components that TREC considers to be optional. Some of those include water wells, septic systems, irrigation, boat houses, and swimming pools.
